With holiday parties just around the corner I wanted to share several healthier dessert options. You do not have to give up desserts to be healthy! Just focus on healthy ingredients.
CHOCOLATE PUMPKIN BROWNIES
Ingredients
1/2 cup coconut oil measured solid 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips divided 1/2 cup cocoa or cacao powder 1 ripe banana mashed
14 oz. can pumpkin puree
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup whole wheat flour or substitute with almond flour
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 F. In a medium pot, add coconut oil and 1/2 cup chocolate chips; melt on low heat, whisking constantly.
Turn off heat and add cacao powder, pumpkin puree, nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt; whisk until smooth. Add flour and whisk until well combined. Stir in remaining 1/2 cup chocolate chips.
Pour into an oil coated 8 X 8 baking dish smooth with a spatula and bake for 25 minutes.
Remove from the oven and let cool . ENJOY GUILT FREE
