With holiday parties just around the corner I wanted to share several healthier dessert options. You do not have to give up desserts to be healthy! Just focus on healthy ingredients.
Protein Packed
Ice Cream Shake
You can change up the flavor of the ice cream by changing the protein powder flavor. Also get creative! see what healthy stir-ins or toppings you can come up with. Nuts, unsweetened coconut flakes, berries, almond butter, coffee beans, cacao nibs, cacao syrup, whip cream sweetened with stevia or monk fruit etc..
Ingredients
2 scoops healthy protein power any flavor variety (My favorite is
superfood blend)
1/4 ripe banana
1/2 ripe avocado
1 C full fat dairy milk, or unsweetened coconut or almond milk, your choice
1C ice cubes
Directions
Combine all ingredients except milk and ice cubes into a blender. Blend until well mixed. Add mild and ice cubes, blend until well mixed.
Pour into cup, Place in freezer for at least an hour. If fully frozen, allow to slightly defrost before serving.
Add some healthy toppings, get creative!
